Just finished watching UFC 83. The show had a couple of good fights, from Mac Danzig's debut fight to GSP's display of dominance. However there's one memorable fight in that event... Kalib Starnes vs Nate Quarry!

It's gotta be one of the worst fights I've seen since Soa Palelei vs Eddie Sanchez on UFC 79, (I don't even remember watching this fight... but I remember turning the TV off = P) but what made the match for me was the antics of Nate Quarry. Throughout the entire fight Quarry was always on the offensive... and Starnes was always... on the run? WTF!? What the hell was wrong with that guy? What was worst was after the fight, Kalib started mouthing off to some guy (I couldn't see who, the camera didn't show who it was.) 

I know Quarry's action were quite unprofessional, at least he apologized for not being able to finish the fight and maybe for his antics. But hell I think he was just trying to make the crowd respond positively since they were already chanting "BORING!" anyway, even the referee started laughing when Nate started doing a marathon chase parody on Starnes, and what was even more laughable was the fact that when Nate started doing that Retarded-Punch-Covering-His-Face thing, Starnes was still... running. I just wish I could post pictures of that. Oh wait here it is:

Well after the fight, an interesting twist of fate happend as the Canadian crowd started applauding Nate Quarry and booing the hometown boy Kalib Starnes, which I think both men deserve.

I've never been a fan of Kalib Starnes, and I think the only reason why he won fight of the night one time was because he was facing Chris Leben (I admit it, I'm starting to be a Leben fan!) but after seeing his actions, I think he doesn't belong inside the Octagon!

3/16/2008- A memorable day that begun with a dull morning. I woke up around 8 am and killed time by just sitting in front of the PC, going online, logging-in my Gaia account (which I haven't touched for the longest time), and fishing the time away.

Around 5 p.m., visitors started to arrive. I wasn't really pumped up in the afternoon since I was expecting a lot of fireworks once evening came. As night-time emerged, the fireworks I was expecting turned into one big explosion... in short, I had a blast!

Even though I didn't get wasted with all the alcohol and stuffed with all the food, it was the experiences (including that unexpected blackout = þ) and the people around me that made that day a lasting memory and one great party!
